Privacy policy

RouterManual is a read-only reference site. You do not need an account, and there is nothing to sign up for.

What the site itself collects

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Paris, eu-west-3) and delivered through Amazon CloudFront, a content delivery network with servers worldwide. Like almost every website, these systems keep standard access logs of each request: the IP address it came from, the time, the page requested, the referring page and the browser's user-agent string. We use these logs only to operate and secure the site: to diagnose errors, measure load, and detect and block abusive automated traffic. They are not used to build profiles of visitors and are not sold or shared for marketing.

Visit statistics

We count page views with Umami, a privacy-focused analytics tool we run ourselves. It sets no cookies and stores no IP addresses; it records the page viewed, the referring page, and the browser, device type and country, only as aggregate counts.

External links

Guides link to router makers' and providers' own websites. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which apply once you leave RouterManual.

Your rights

Because we do not hold accounts or personal profiles, there is usually nothing we can link to you. If you are in the EU, the UK or another region with data-protection rights, you may still ask what data relating to you we hold, or ask us to delete it, by writing to support@proxydocker.com. Requests about data processed by Google can also be made to Google directly.

Changes

If the way the site handles data changes, for example a new analytics or advertising service, this page will be updated before the change takes effect.
