About RouterManual
RouterManual is an independent reference for private router addresses: how to reach a router's admin page, which default logins are known for an address, and how to get back in when the password is lost. It is not affiliated with any router maker or internet provider.
Where the data comes from
- Vendor defaults. The vendor tables (31 brands across 24 gateway addresses) list what manufacturers document for their routers: the factory gateway address, the default username and password, and the reset method. Each entry is checked by hand before it is published, and an address is only listed for a vendor that actually ships it as a default.
- Reported logins. For some addresses we hold a list of default username and password pairs reported for devices answering there. The percentage next to each pair is its share of the reports we hold for that address. It is not a measurement of how many devices use it.
- Address facts. The range, netmask and subnet figures are calculated from the address itself and from RFC 1918, the standard that reserves the private ranges.
What is written with AI assistance
The explanations on individual address pages (the introduction, the notes on credentials and resets, troubleshooting steps and questions) were drafted with the help of a language model from the data above. Translations into other languages were produced the same way. Statements the data cannot support, such as visitor counts or percentages outside the credential table, are removed rather than kept. The guides were also written with AI assistance, from vendor documentation and the relevant standards.
Which addresses have a page
Any private address opens a page, so a typed address is never a dead end. Only the addresses we hold real information for, or that people actually search for, are offered to search engines; the rest stay out of search results.
Corrections
If a default login, model name or reset step is wrong, write to support@routermanual.com with the address, the device and what you found. Corrections are checked against the manufacturer's documentation before a page changes.
